How I Work
Every engagement is different because every agency’s drift is different. But the shape of the work is consistent, and it starts smaller than you’d think.
First
Thirty minutes. You tell me what you’re seeing: the thing that’s getting harder, the friction you can’t quite name. I’ll tell you honestly whether I think I can help, and sometimes the honest answer is that you don’t need me. Either way, you’ll leave with a clearer picture than you came in with.
Book a Conversation →Then
If the conversation points somewhere, the next step is the Agency Diagnostic: a participatory workshop with the whole agency, not an audit done to you from the outside. Your people surface the gaps between what the firm says and what the firm does, and we leave with a target list and the metrics to know whether things are actually changing. It costs $2,500, and it stands on its own; some firms take the findings and run without me.
See the Workshops →The Real Work
This is where the results come from. We work on real projects with your real teams, changing how the work flows: simpler structures, less hierarchy, rituals that put people back in deep engagement with each other and with clients. Nothing here happens to your team; it happens with them, because the changes that stick are the ones the team helped create. Engagements typically run several months, shaped around what the diagnostic found.
Ongoing
Agencies keep moving after the engagement ends: new clients, new services, new tools, and the realignment skill needs occasional exercise. Some leaders keep me around for that: a standing conversation, a sounding board with 200+ organizations of pattern recognition behind it. This is the lightest form of the work, and for some firms it’s the only form they need.
Looking for AgencyAgile?
AgencyAgile became Better Company, and the methods we built over 15 years didn’t go anywhere. If you came here looking for the delivery model, it’s alive and teachable.
The pod-based delivery model at the core of AgencyAgile: small, empowered, cross-functional teams replacing the department-siloed, handoff-heavy way of running work. Published in MIT Sloan Management Review, still running in organizations a decade after we installed it.
Interested? Start with a conversation and tell me where your delivery hurts.
Tell me what you’re seeing. I read these myself and I’ll get back to you personally.
No pitch, no pressure. Just a conversation about what you’re seeing.
